Goals, goals, and more goals

Posted on Mar 21st, 2008 by Lori : Simply Being Lori
Anthony Robbins and David Wolfe are inspiring when it comes to goals. I went on a goal writing rampage in all aspects of my life. I was inspired on watching David and Katrina's video from global juice feasting

So, of course after hearing David Wolfe's goal is to write 6000 goals...(LOL)  I thought I too would add to my list.... The Universe is taking my order baby....and it feels GOOD :)

Spiritual
Emotional
Intellectual
Personal Physical Health
Dietary
Career
Interpersonal, Social, Cultural
Financial
Relationship
Living environment

I haven't counted out all of them, but it truly is invigorating and pleasurable. I had my kids do this as well.

I decided to update you from my blog...Keep on going...2008 from Dec

Nutrition
OK, the health and nutrition thing has been fun! I have been watching David and Katrina's global juice feast videos that have lessons for 92 days. They are short and give you just enough information to get you pumped to take action. Afterall, what's the point if you don't act on anything?
I am all about a living plant based nutrient dense diet. I have had a few hiccups, in my transition to 100%, but considering how far I have come....looking at it now...it was never a hiccup at all...only a moment of reflection for where I am at and where I am going. :)

Here is a list from my dietary goals I wrote out yesterday:
Deeply nourish my body
Drink the purest, cleanest, best water ever
Consistently consume sulfur foods, cruciferous foods, dark leafy greens, circulatory foods, citrus foods, kelp, E3 live, spirulina, chlorella, chia, flax, hemp, sesame seeds, chew and savor each bite fully, try rare and exotic produce, eat superfoods, purify my body
Learn to prepare gourmet living food ( I did make raw icecream last week...unbelieveable)

Fitness
Ok, so I thought I would love to run. I guess not so much...LOL. I do love hiking, wandering in nature, dancing, snowboarding, surfing, etc... So Cal had great snow this year  and I was able to snowboard (of course my kids did too). I have been chill on my yoga practice...still. I think I needed a break to try different things. I have been training and condtioning for gymnastics which is a childhood passion. I am doing it twice. Time to increase :) My kids ae doing well and loving it too...BRILLIANT! A bit of parental advice: expose your kids to all your many hobbies....it is very connecting to share common interests with your kids. I was disconnected from their interests for a long time. I decided to get smart and get them involved in the things I love.

Here are some fitness goals from last night:
create a home studio ( I have many of the basics, but it isn't all pretty...I like things beautiful..it makes it more inviting :)
Obtain an X pole ...yes, i love to dance...sensual and exotic
Do a back walk over
Do the splits
Do a flip on the trampoline and a perfect toe touch
Obtain a cute girly beach cruiser...Phat cycles has a bike called Aloha...it is darling :)
Do 90 minute yoga at least once a week
Keep walking Hailee. A darling silky terrier (she is now a 100% raw food doggie too)
Get a tan and a workout gardening (bummer on the tan lines though) Iwish I had more privacy to garden in the buff!

Health goals
Balance my endocrine system: thyriod, pituitary, and adrenals
Cleanse my liver and GI tract
Eliminate any hyperpigmentation
Bring my BMI to 18-19

Career
I consider my career to be everything that I do from the moment I wake to the moment I rest. It is inseperable from me. I am doing it naturally and in a flow as I go. I created self reliance projects, sustained living projects, design projects: interior and landscape, deepen my knowledge in health & wellness. Learning and creating online courses. Still writing away..I never stop. I am a born researcher. I am curious about everything! I am still refining business plans on a wellness retreat in Hawaii. I am also delving into educational events and opportunities to speak.

Relationships
All is very well in this department. Only thing I would like to add is a partner. I wrote earlier a blog on the kind of man I wanted. I added more to that list lastnight. I really painted a crystal clear image...Hey, If  the Universe is my waitress taking my order I am going to be as speciic as possible...LOL. Have you ever heard starbucks orders??? Hey, if they can get their drink that specific...I would think it would be even more important to have that specificity in a companion.

Other cool things I am doing
Creating my edible landscape...I have quite a bit stirred up. I have been studying my booty off learning about biodynamic gardening and botany. I was considering moving not too long ago. I was planning to be in Santa Monica...however, I felt prompted to take the home I already own and rock it out as a mock wellness retreat in the middle of the garden of eden style...LOL.I say mock because I live in a small town in a track home community. Hey, if I can create a paradise here ..it will be cake for when I establish one in Hawaii :)

All this and I somehow still manage to run my wellness practice and homeschool my kids! No wonder I need a raw food diet. Time is everything!

Whatcha waiting for???? Get writing :)

Hey Lori,

I am sitting here in my patio sipping a fruit juice often referred to as the “nectar of the gods”… and  most call wine.

After I wrote my blog for GAIA I looked around and read yours.

As always I do enjoy reading the next installment of “The Lori Chronicals”. After reading them this time I wondered … “What is she doing to nourish her soul?” Then I tought … “Silly, didn't you read what she wrote … every day she nourishes her soul by her very thoughts and her very actions.” Is this not true? Then I thought … “and she soon will attract the balance in her life she seeks if she is able to recognize it as it will come to her in a natural and organic way.”

Best

Nice!!  You might wanna ping Mark for the cleanest, purest, water ever.  They have this machine at their house that takes tap water and does all kinds of good stuff for it- filters it, regulates the PH, oxygenates it- the works. ;)  I think it can even add rasberry flavoring that removes wrinkles. (kidding on that one obviously)  But really, best tasting water ever- i plan to get one soon- but till then, Mark has been bringing me gallon jugs of it to get me hooked. lol

Anyway, way to go on the goals!  I feel amped as always reading over your blog!  Way to live. :)
