Alright, this is something I did as a teen. I wrote out a list of qualities I wanted in my boyfriend, husband, etc...I was thinking this morning about how would I recognize the perfect man for me? So, I did my little teenager game and wrote out a list. Wanna see it???
Here goes! Beware, I am pretty detailed and imaginative :) Remember, in the title it states I should be myself...perhaps I have some for self improvement to do. ; )
1. Nourished and healthy- vegan working towards raw (bright eyes)
2. Beautiful, Physically fit/ Active- working towards a rocking bod!
3. Conscious, Aware and respectful of himself, others and the environment
4. Kind, Sincere, Genuine
5. Well spoken
6. Like minded
7. Pure of heart, mind, body, and soul
8. Passionate and purposeful entrepreneur
9. Organized and focused
10. Sensual/ Tactile
11. Adventurous and Diverse
12. Funny, light, fun loving ( laughing and smiling)
13. Avid student...always learning
14. Action oriented
15. Patient and Understanding
16. Modest and Humble
17. Natural leader (by example)
Wow. This exercise really opened my mind about who I am and what I want. I must be all that I seek. I love the saying "you already are what you seek".
BTW, if you fit the bill ...ya know...(wink wink ) ; )

Great list, Lori! I have been listening to some Tony Robbins stuff on relationships and the first thing he has you do is a visioning exercise somewhat similar to what you have written above. Tony asks, “What is your ultimate vision for your intimate relationship? What is your compelling vision for love, intimacy, passion, connection, and fun?”
Great questions, but I love the last question he asks even more! Who is the person you have to become to attract this relationship to your life? A powerful question. You truly must be all that you seek. :)
I've got 4, 5, 10, 12 (but I admit I may be the only one who thinks I'm funny), 13, 15, 16. Not a very good score…I have learned that I can no more tell my heart who to love than I can change the weather.

That's quite a list for self-improvement! Now imagine . . . If we all aspired to embody most of those traits, how much easier would human interaction be?!
Michael… I love how you remind me that I am going along with some great influencial people. I did this exercise for clarity and boy….I wanna be all that I have listed…AND A BAG OF CHIPS…LOL. Can I say that? I know it's old, but it just came to me.
Kicksave….number 4 melts my heart every time I see this in someone…what a beautiful trait…I have found it VERY easy to fall in love…we see something beautiful in someone else and it is truly a reflection of ourselves. Number 10…this is the best part about being in a physical body…savor the senses!
Cosmic Energy….I have been learning it isn't about the man….it's about ME! I must possess that which I desire. Life is amazing. Human interaction on that level is possible. We have that ability to bring out the best in others. :)
I am all these items and I am none of them. What matters to me is who we are in each other's presence.
Have you read ”If The Buddha Dated”? I have and may yet post about this.
To my brothers one and all, I thank you.
I'm this and much more…. but i think we would be great as friends only.
