I liked your  “Peace with My Past”. “You've come a long way baby!” And here'e to your “Peace with the Present and the Peace in the Future waitinfg for you.”

I appreciated and enjoyed your openness and it felt good listening to you … as I also heard your heart felt tears at the end.  I was once told that “Sharing  tears allows us to share openly.”  And that you did.

And one more thing comes to mind. I was also once told. “It is through the power of tenderness which allows us to feel safe.” You video was very tender … and experienced this as I listened. Thanks for having the courage to feel safe and share your story with the entire universe and the powerful person you have become.  :)

Howdy Lori…in the “12 steps” prg of recovery of …whatever….you just completed your steps 4 & 5!….& did a fine, large scale job of it!!
Humility…..such a powerful tool  When we share these “skeletons” with our peers it empowers us to ascent into planes of being we never knew existed before.  Those things weigh us down tremendously.
I was a “drunk” in my past life & have many such tales of “misadventure” as well…I did two step 4 & 5's…..prob because I grew up catholic & had all this accelerated shame & guilt which was deeply rooted thanks to the “punishing God” dogma they so readily pounded down your soul from the pulpet (well at least our monsiegnor did)…
anyways, I certainly feel I know you better now.  I certainly respect you tons more & have let go some preconceived notions I had of you (not that it should matter to you;)
have a fun one Lori….twb xo

Hey Lori,

I admire your courage in baring your soul in this very public way. You are a beautiful, loving, caring person.

Those that do not learn from their past are doomed to repeat it. I, like you, have had a lot of past experiences that were less than ideal. But without coming through them, I would not be the person I am today.

Knowing the things you do, about what constitutes true happiness and true health puts you in a very elite category that very few will ever reach. It is up to us, as parents, to raise up the next generation of happy, healthy, holy individuals.

Coming from the pit and rising up out of it is what makes us who we are. Not content to live as the world dictates, but instead charting our own course (for us and our children) is absolutely the best thing and the only thing we can do to be the change we wish to see in the world.

Keep the faith!

Much love,
Herb
