Remembering Childhood Passions
I found it very amusing that the things I loved as a child I still love today.
As a child I would make over my little brothers, dressing them in my dresses and putting make up on them. I wished I had a little sister, but my brothers worked fine. :) They still remind me of their traumatic childhood of being dolled up. Hey, what can I say? LOL :).
Today I am still doing make overs. Nothing is more satisfying than giving someone a brand new start in life on many different levels and in many aspects. I love lifestyle make overs, what could be better?
As a child I would say I wanted to be an architect, landscape architect, and interior designer. I dreamed of creating amazing homes.
Today I am developing my own wellness retreat and I am working on all those aspects with pure beauty. I consider my wellness retreat to be an extension of my own home for my family, friends, and clients to enjoy.
I played house and school all the time. I also loved to cook and garden as a child. I would always be stirring up trouble in the kitchen. If we had peaches I would make peach pie, peach cobbler, peach sconces, peaches on anything....go figure (mini iron chef...lol).
Today, I am teaching spa cuisine along with nutritional consulting. I love variety too. The more diverse the better. Global baby! I also am cultivating my own little culinary garden. You can't get any fresher than just picked home grown organic goodies. Quality is key!
As a child l loved going to the library. I would have my nose in a book while the rest of my family was watching TV. I have kept a journal since the 2nd grade. I alsways had the biggest callous on my knuckle from holding my pen. (Still do).
Reading and writing are still huge aspects of my life. Today, I am working on my own books. I am also considering starting my own publishing company. Who knows.
Gymnastics...I would tumble all day long. I am looking into Acro yoga now. A beautiful combination of my 2 most favorite activities. I also loved swimming, and dancing. I still do. I fell in love with yoga at the age of 15. I was amazed how great I felt!
Now, I practice yoga and personal train clients. Fitness is still huge in my life. I couldn't imagine a life without it.
Science was my favorite subject in school. I would always be doing some sort of science project as a kid.
Today, I am developing my own nutritional, beauty, and hygeine line. I am enjoying the case studies too. How fun is that?
I am very happy to see I still enjoy the same things I did as a kid. Even better I have learned to incorporate them into my career. How beautiful. I am filled with gratitude knowing I have been cultivating myself all along :)
Cheers!
What is it you loved as a child? Are you still enjoying them or have you stopped?

Beautiful, Lori. Do you do makeovers for ninjas as well, I am wondering? My current look feels a little early 90s, and I would love to upgrade to something a bit more modern.. hmm…
Oh, and to answer the question seriously– i loved nothing more than going outside in the morning and running around with my friends. Still one of my favorite things to do. Just reckless fun, knowing all is well… :)
I love the NINJA makeover….lol. You crack me up! Must be that Scorpio Monkey in ya !
Ninja makeover, coming to a network near you! Long live the monkies.
Simply Beautiful! Thank you for you!
I loved reflecting as a child - reflecting on my life and facing death. This brought the most joy and fullness to me as a child in middle school. Something never change :-)
