I am thrilled to reflect on this past year and realize I have had a blast! I am in a better place today than I was a year ago. I am thankful for all that I have been given the opportunity to do. I am ready to close this chapter of my life and start a fresh new chapter. Now, I am not one to wait for New Years to make a change. I change as I am ready and willing rather than waiting until a calendar date. However, many people do and that's cool too. I do use this time to see where else I can improve myself and be of a stronger purpose.
I realize I have a vast understanding of the spirit, mind, body and enjoy finding a healthy balance. I am very thankful for my knowledge and experience. I love sharing this with others who see value in me. I still found room for improvement
2007 was all about commitment and purification. I eliminated tons of excess from my home, diet and life.
2007 Nutrition
I completed 4different detoxification programs this year
I eliminated all cans and packages from my kitchen and eat fresh. I do have limited frozen and dried foods.
I changed from a food combiner to 90% raw vegan diet. I do enjoy hot tea, a warm baked sweet potato and steel cut oats on occasion so I am not 100%. I am not too sure I will, we shall see how my body responds. I really have cleaned up my diet to a further degree. I am practically free from alcohol, caffeine, wheat, gluten, corn, soy, dairy, meat, fish, eggs, white sugar, white rice, etc... I did enjoy them occasionally and realized on Christmas after eating the typical fare by body was letting me know that the traditional holiday meal my family prepared was no longer acceptable. I have such a passion for food I thought I would be missing all the foods, but I have found I feel much cleaner now that I do not eat that way. I actually have found a love for spices and herbs, gourmet and rare produce. I do give myself permission to eat whatever I want.
I no longer store food in plastic containers, wrap, or aluminum, etc.
I started my first garden
For 2008 Nutrition
Build up my garden skills.. I feel you can't get a purer, fresher source than your own garden
Become super fast at chopping...LOL
Eat a raw rainbow daily... this is part of a program I have put together
I loved to cook and now I am learning to prepare raw/vegan global cuisine.I love diversity.
Teach my children how to prepare their own meals ( I know they are young, but I gotta start somewhere)
2007 Fitness
I have taught exercise for over 5 years for rehab therapy, athletic training, functional training. etc.. This year I really enjoyed deepening my yoga practice. I have arranged to spend 3 weeks in Tulum, Mexico for a teachers training retreat however a hurricane caused postponing. However, I began teaching my kids yoga..such cuties to watch..they crack me up! I have found yoga to be the most balancing form of exercise.
2008 Fitness
I love to dance, surf and snowboard. I want to do these more this year.
I am considering training for a triathlon, but I am not too sure. I may just try the Aloha Run in Feb which is an 8 mile run. Hmm.... only 6 weeks to train! :)
Continue my understanding of anatomy and kinesiology as I teach my kiddies ( I bet they'll be amazing doctors if they ever chose to be since they are far beyond the typical when it comes to understanding the body)
Deepen my gymnastics skills as I teach my kids
2007 Career
I have enjoyed another year being my own boss...woo hoo! It has almost been 2 years now. I spent a great deal of my time this year writing on self development and empowerment. I wrote while I wasn't with clients. I enjoyed an expanded practice (by accident really). If you didn't already know I started my practice as a massage therapist, personal trainer, and nutrition consultant. I began green non toxic living as well as working with personal presentation. I began life coaching as well.
2008 Career
Continue working with amazing people and helping where I am of best use.
Publish my writings
I am launching a 12 week optimal health program and challenge
Raise funds to host a grand prize of $100,000 to the winner of my challenge
2007 Relationships
I spent the year making amends and cleaning up relationships
Kids: I have 2 kids which I home-school 3 days a week, the other days they are with their father being home-schooled. This is my second year doing it. I absolutely love it and feel that their education far surpasses public school. I feel I am training them to become elite contributors to the world. I have deepened my connection with my children and feel very grateful to have this time to invest in 2 brilliant souls.
Family: I reached out to everyone in my family. I love them deeply and practice non - attachment .
Romance: In the beginning of 2007 I experienced an end to an engagement. Since then romance has been on the back-burner for a good portion of this year. In the past this was a top priority, but I put it aside while I renewed myself. I want to be all that I desire in a companion. I did date and enjoyed male company, but not on a deep partnership level.
Friends: I enjoyed meeting and making new friends in 2007 and weeding out unsatisfying relationships.
2008 Relationships
I want to deepen my compassion and understanding towards others
I look forward to sharing my time with my kids and of course my clients.
I am ready to date more men this year and see what I experience. I would love to find a serious partner, yet I do not feel an urgency considering all I have going and I have quite the schedule :)
Enjoy my family and see all their good traits
Enjoy growing my circle of friendship
Afterall, we are all in this world together...we might as well enjoy each other :)
Happy New Year!

No, I haven't. Perhaps I will. Non - attachment has been of great value this year. I am learning to love what is. Sometimes I get a healthy reminder :)
Happy New Year! I wish your 2008 will be better than the 2007:-)
Here is a nice ecard for the occasion.
